"Targeting" that weight only means they're trying to get it lighter than the current M3, which is necessary as it will be the first time in M history a car's hp isn't raised. "Targeting" 3400, 3500 lbs isn't the same as "approximately" said weight.
The cool-aid drinkers will respond with "but more torque!". Which are the same people that said torque doesn't matter when the S65 V8 was released. This is a disappointment.
