I haven't had a car payment in over 5 years and it's great (also paid for the car outright, so no interest payments either). I am also out of warranty though. However, short of the engine blowing or something else major mechanically going wrong, I can afford to keep the car on the road.

I've honestly never seen the point of leasing a car, but that's just me.
