1) There is no change in piping diameter. Current exhaust is already a straight through with the bypass valves open. Hence, no change to physics. It is lighter, but not sure if that'll translate into anything significant. It looks better. Titanium resonates differently. etc..
2) BMW doesn't advertise HP gain, only different sound. I'm talking about both the internal literature for dealers as well as consumer facing advertisement
Akra makes sense as they have a new mid pipe that's wider and does not have the central muffler.
