I understand your confusion...before my malfunction, my top down camera showed me what was in front of my car. Now, the front view in "top down" mode is blacked out like in the photo above.
The interesting thing is that the 2016 models on the lot also have the front blacked out...maybe only 2015 F80s had this feature.
My dealership aka asshats couldn't pull up the bulletin mentioned above.
