So you are telling me if you could push a car as hard as you want both being equal in performance, one gets 10mpg and one gets 30mpg you would say hmmm doesnt matter to me which one I have.

The performance is the end all of what you want out of an M3, but it is also nice to have fuel economy as well.

Remember the M3 is not a full on sports car, its also a DD for many people as well as it seats 4 with a large trunk.
