With all the sweet time they took getting it ready, it's too bad they just used copy and paste right from the M5 to put out incorrect information:

The M Carbon Ceramic Brake System was developed as an exotic, ultra-high performance option for the most performance-minded customers. The advanced materials construction of the system provides significantly better high-temperature capacity, suitable for circumstances similar to those encountered on a race track. Its large (16-inch front) rotors use lightweight composite construction to provide better stopping performance while shaving an incredible 42 lbs of unsprung rotational mass from the vehicle. The system is a long-life design, with brake pads expected to last 2-3 times longer than conventional pads and rotors (discs) expected to last 3-4 times longer than conventional counterparts. As always, the type of use will ultimately determine how long the brake components will last.

Isn't the savings much less on the F8x?
