I have CQUARTZ on my windshield. It's now about 1 year old.
When freshly done, water beads so well that you almost don't need wipers.
When fresh, it does skip a bit.
After 1 year, wipers don't skip anymore and the water still beads alright.
I don't regret having the CQUARTZ.
As to if it will make the windshield slightly stronger, no. The glass of these windshields is so soft, never saw glass soft like this.
