No your dead right. There is a never before seen spoiler/appendage attached to the deck lid. Good catch. Not sure if functional but its a new item never seen on previous F80 M3 spy shots. You can also see the Air Breather ah la the 4 Series Coupe in the going away shot. Someone should hire me to analyze these Spy Shots.......
