This certainly isn't the case in the E9x (just a throttle map, about as linear as a light switch.) I really hope what he is saying is true, since I am getting a manual and would like to be able to avoid the auto-rev matching feature without a hyper-sensitive throttle.

I am certainly excited about the auto rev match feature, but not if we can't defeat it without having sport plus throttle settings. That shit is useless on the E9X M3s. I can't imagine attempting to drive with that on at the track. I'd probably spin coming out of corners a lot more often.
