I jus came back from 3 days away to find my car in a heavy discharged state. It's a week old!!! Well, after wondering what the hell was going on, it started fine, but it seems I had left the OBD2 wireless sensor plugged in. I guess these things use power even if the car is off and in sleep mode. Good lesson.
Now I want to charge my battery but I guess my Deltran Battery Tender won't work??
I'm looking at the Optimate as suggested by
aboulfad . Can I leave that charger plugged on the car all winter? I used to do that with my Battery Tender on my E90, as I store the car a little ways from my house in the winter. I'm looking for a charger/monitor that will be able to remain plugged in for long periods and not harm the battery.
Is the Optimate capable of doing that?
