I saw a posting relating to the E90 330d on http://www.peachorlemon.co.uk however that owner was reporting what he called turbo lag, apparently recognised by BMW as a fault. As it seemed to be an isolated report I didn't let it put me off, and I have had no such problems with mine

BMW 3 Series 3000cc 330d M Sport E90 Diesel Automatic Saloon 2005
This is the third 330d M Sport BMW diesel Automatic I have purchased. This is the first of the new shape models the E90. I Would not advise anyone to buy this car, it suffers from Turbo Lag which BMW Customer Service have confirmed to me. This I consider to be dangerous. As it happens when you slow down and then accelerate again, Beware!!! You have been warned. The car was built in December 2005 and bought brand new in the UK throgh the BMW dealer network in March 2006.
