I thought all the sockets are switched power, but with a delayed off. I use the one under the glove compartment for my dash-cam, and know for sure it powers off after 10 minutes or so.
There is really no concern of draining your battery, as it will shut itself off after a certain threshold to ensure there is enough juice left for starting the car again.
