As some of you know I have ordered an Individual M3 with both the exterior and interior being Individual Colors and Designs. The process started in March of 2014 determining which color options were available or could be made, both for inside and outside of the new M3. After several emails, renderings and a few phone calls we finally completed the M3 design. With the help of the Individual folks in Germany they were able to produce interior renderings to show what the final design may look like. These renderings were very helpful in the design discussion and ultimately helped to make the final call.
I have wanted a blue interior leather from before I ordered my E90 M3. At the time I checked out all possibilities from BMW Individual and was turned down. Now that it was time to order the F80 M3 I checked into the blue leather again. They mentioned that they could get a sample and were able to send me a swatch of the leather to see in person for a couple of days. What we decided to go with is called Fjord Blue and Silverstone. This color combination along with the contrast stitching looks great IMO and I love how it is turning out. The center backs of the front seats, the center console, e-brake boot and handle as well as the center piece under the a/c controls will be covered in Fjord Blue leather as well.
The exterior color is a Porsche paint to sample color called Fashion Grey. Some have seen a few Porsches this color, but when I saw this color I knew that it would go great with the colors that I had picked out for the interior of the M3. The color takes on different hues in different lightings and angles. This really drew me to this color and you don't see this color very often either. Much to my surprise this color was in the BMW Individual optioned colors so I did not have to pay the developmental premium for this color.
I know some may love it while others may not, but the point about the Individual program is create an Individual BMW for the Customer, making it truly bespoke. I had several ideas and much to my surprise several of them were accommodated. Other items they are not able to do for the M3/M4, for example, alcantara headliner, custom color brake calipers or custom colored seat belts they are just not able to accommodate. However, they were able to cover more of the interior pieces with blue leather and contrast stitching than I first thought.
Well, finally the day has come and the build for my Individual M3 started a little over a week ago and is now complete. The M3 is now at the ///M-Studio for the final Individual interior pieces to be fitted. They are also going to have professional photos taken and might include it in the next Individual Lookbook. In and effort to document this bespoke Individual M3 I requested to have photos taken during the build process, but was not promised anything as this is not usually allowed. Much to my surprise they were able to take a few photos while the M3 was on the production line being assembled. I have only received the photos that are posted below, however I should receive more photos next week. I will continue to update this thread when more photos are sent.

How do you order an Individual M3/M4? In the U.S it is not as easy as it sounds. You will have to contact your favorite dealer and have them put you in touch with their regional ///M Rep. They can the help you along with your Individual order and if necessary put you in touch with the right people to help you.
How much does this cost? It depends on what options you decide to get as they are all priced out "individually". I choose not to disclose the price as I have not taken delivery of the M3 yet. Once you have decided which Individual options to go with they will work with BMW Individual to determine your pricing.
