Sure, but this forum isn't just about you, so I provided some general info for those that might not know and included a link for you to read through all of the speculation yourself.

Net-net: BMW isn't saying, but lemetier says:
The strengthened bedplate was to insure component integrity on the OEM higher performance variants (it is a harmonic vibration under certain conditions when more Torque than the original certification amount is exerted through the drivetrain).

As the part is interchangeable with the old version, all S55's regardless of performance level have received the update because there is no reason to produce two versions. It also eliminates the risk of the old part ending up on a CP, CS, or GTS.
Sounds good to me. So the answer to your question is: "strengthened (to reduce or eliminate harmonic vibration)".
