The F82 M4 coupe and F83 M4 convertible continue testing and we continue sharing pics with you.
Once it's fully revealed, we will see an M4 convertible which shares the M4 coupe's styling (and mechanicals), save for the roofline and trunkline. To give you an idea for how the M4 convertible will look once all the camo comes off, check out our production M4 renders below.
The one clear difference is that the M4 convertible features a different roof -- in the form of a non-carbon fiber folding hardtop. It will operate and fold in the same manner we're used to seeing on the E93 M3 convertible.
As for the M4 coupe, we have all effectively seen the production M4 in the form of the
M4 Concept (minus the carbon fiber front lip, rear diffuser and exhaust tips, as well as the black kidney grilles - which we believe will all become available as part of the M Performance Parts catalog for the M4). Bonus video below of an F82 M4 powersliding around a turn at the Nurburgring.
Technical specs have not yet been released for the M3/M4, but we'll cover the first details in a little over a week. But, we do know some things for now... see our
details/info/spy pics compilation.
The production M4 coupe will have its debut alongside the new M3 at the Detroit NAIAS show in mid-January. The M4 convertible will debut in late 2014 - early 2015.
