BMW tends to have "round" figures in kilowatts of power. For example, the current M3 has 309kW. BMW M5 has 418kW. A good figure to keep the new M3 from beating the new M5, given the fact that the new M5 is quite heavy at 1920kg, would be like 320-335kW. So I think the new M3 will have very close to 440hp. I fact, I can't make my mind between 430 and 440
agreed, i'm not saying that it needs to be more, but it needs to be more than what the v8 is pushing, along with increased torque in order to remain relevant in the niche it currently fills...and being the most balanced of the lot.
