If you haven't seen Tanz in person I wouldn't worry if you like dark blue ... I had Jerez Black and have looked closely at Azurite Black and I would say those colors are black except in direct sunlight, but not tanzanite.

Tanz looks very dark blue in the shade and then bright blue in direct sun. It's much darker than the colors you're considering, but here are some examples from ED 2 weeks ago

This is in the dark shade through a reflective window, but you can see an overhead light reflecting off it



To my eye, tanz is dark blue at the darkest - if you like dark blue that flashes bright blue, Tanz is great
