Agreed with the others. You need to try a vert at least once to see if you like it.
I tried with e89z435 and I drove around half the time with the roof down. Really fun for cruising. You do notice the extra pork, even around town. I likely won't be getting a vert again but can't fault those who do.
There's definitely an intangible fun factor for driving a fast open roof car
