Just got my Valentine 1 delivered and I have it installed, currently using the cigarette power outlet; when I completely shutoff the car (MY17-F82.6MT) - pressing the OFF BUTTON X2, the radar detector still stays on. Went back to check after 20+ minutes and still the same result. I have the mirror tap connector coming this Friday that I'll be connecting to the rain sensor, but who knows when I'll get up the nerve to do the DIY.

Should the power turn off to the the V1 when the vehicle is powered down; even further, does that outlet always stay on when something is plugged into it?
