Jason is speaking the truth. The release was pushed back because of internal politics and marketing considerations. They do not want to kill off sales of the E92/93 M cars while there is still demand. The car, like the new M5 and M6 was, is on target to be finished well before the on sale date. Next summer/fall debut (depends on the Frankfurt date
) and sales commencing in Spring of 2014.
That is the current off the record unofficial inside word- can that change due to some unforeseen circumstance, yes.
Also- the M6 Gran Coupe is slated for a debut before the F80, next summer.
