Motortrend have some subjective impressions from the ride along.

"As we charged off toward the circuit, I can sense a seamless surge of power all the way through first gear to 7500 rpm, and the engine note is quite racy indeed, the tone a warm bass/baritone that is punctuated by an occasional brrrapp when shifting quickly. "

"The carbon-ceramic brakes threaten to detach my retinas, and the car zig-zags through a slalom with very minimal roll."

They also say that the MT rev. match is off in "Sport Plus" as it should and a hint that the DCT seems to be the one in the M5.

A choice of six-speed manual (with automatic rev-matching in Sport, but not Sport Plus mode) or seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (using the M5/M6's taller gearing) will route all that furious twist to the rear wheels."
