The whole rwd in snow fear and awd is a must is all hype. Have a dedicated set of snows and you will be fine. Think of it this way, most people who have awd cars run all seasons and they think they are bullet proof in snow, awd is all fine and dandy for traction, but when is comes to braking, I want snows on my car, not seasons, awd isn't gonna help you brake any quicker, THATS what really matter when it's slick out.
