+1 for $1 hockey puck, and I chiseled it to look like the ECS pad and wrapped with a nice aluminium foil
it's been in operation for 15 years!
To the OP, doesn't your jack have a rubber surface? Most of the damage I had in my prior BMWs jack pads was from the jack stands and not the jack.
