^^This. The 'vert is certainly not the track-users choice yet it always get compared to the coupe (and now the sedan). Geez, it can't hold as much as the X5M either but it has a bigger moonroof; they might as well throw that in there too.

I've read that BMW consistently sells about 15,000 M 'verts total every generation, so it's a strong but niche offering and one-of-a-kind until the c-class AMG comes along ... So it really should only be compared to the generations before it.
