There is a greater performance leap going from CP to CS than there is from base to CP, even if there is less peak power gain. It is all about the area under the curve. The CS tune puts the F8X chassis on pretty much on par with the Giulia QV and C63S in acceleration.
We are saying the same thing regarding the performance leap from CP to CS.

I am also curious if the CS tune can just be added to the CP. I am not aware of any mechanical differences between the two, unlike the GTS (in which case one can't just simply add the tune).

Like you said, the cost difference from Base to CP ($4,750) is significantly less than from CP to CS. Hopefully BMW makes it worth the extra $ from a performance perspective (which, based on the dynos, seems true).
