There is one thing I can not understand. Why the big automanufacturers like BMW do not reissue their models which became legends? Due to the low market demand? I doubt.

For example, Gibson produces "Historic Reissues", Les Paul guitars with specifications of the late 1950s etc. These "custom shop" guitars cost more than the regular Les Paul models, but there is a big demand for these "Historic reissues", because of the high quality and product specifications and design.
Sure, making a "historic reissue" car model it is impossible to follow all the old specifications due to the safety and ecology requirements. But I guess it is possible to keep the car conception, main characteristics, design with change of the ecology and safety characteristics... Or I am discoursing just like a naive child?
