Whining little girls ... ? I disagree. Maye your anecdotal reporting is merely affirmation that BMWs in general are becoming more artificial and less fun, less engaging? And maybe this is some sort of proof that with every generation, that BMW juice is further diluted and the magic is being lost, and with it our collective expectations are repeatedly lowered?
F10? F30? Seriously BMW? Why should we expect anything different from this F80? Wake up and smell the pattern.
