I don't think it reduces texting while driving. These new cars are so freaking easy to drive. You can leave it 3rd and drive around town texting away. You can start from a traffic light without even using the gas - just put it in 1st and the car adds gas so you don't stall. With 400 ft/lb you can start on a hill in SF in 2nd with no drama.
