Is there a chance that my car is on this vessel and it hasn't updated (like some have said, it takes a day to update) or am I being too optimistic?
Yes they are slow at updating. I don't see why your car wouldn't be loaded on this vessel.

Just fyi once it arrives Halifax expect to wait (again). My car's been in Halifax since June 30 and still as of today does not show up on CN's website when tracing. I was told ETA to Calgary is June 27. Not sure if they can still make it for month end because it takes about 11 days on rail.
Wow, that's a terrible feeling. That for me will be the hardest part, knowing the car is in Canada and not being shipped.

However, I have heard several times that the CN rail tracking service is atrocious. There is a member here who was in the same boat as you, in terms of the car not showing as being transported, and then was notified the car was already received at the dealer. It's not the first time I've heard that the CN service is sometimes not accurate or updated. In that sense, maybe there's some hope?
