I noticed that a lot on the Nurburgring because I kept everything on with an unfamiliar car and unfamiliar track. On the street here though, I still notice pronounced lag with everything off. I'm fortunate to have another M3 at my disposal to compare to and they feel identical. Not my imagination.
Anyways, just an observation in street driving that I'm perfectly OK living with.
