Yes, it's like that.
In your case, I'd imagine REM would need to be involved, potentially also FEM_BODY, but with that said, I've read elsewhere that GTS taillights are plug-and-play (although I have no first-hand experience to say whether that's true), so there's a chance that the modules just need to be 'taught' in ISTA aka Rheingold... so tbh that's where I'd start first, personally.
