I hope you are correct and they do finally split them into distinct models, because that would mean the next M3 arrives in early 2020 instead of early 2021. I agree that the model naming split opens the door for this opportunity and have commented about that before myself. However, I would not read too much into this isolated event. The separated pricing guides are a BMW NA decision only and not necessarily the result of some larger strategic initiative.
