That is very very cool. It explains the method to their madness. It also might explain why when revving it with the car at a stand still, a lot of people complain that it sounds like crap, or like a weedwacker. That weedwacker sound is mostly probably because the valves are closed when revving it and the sound is damped by the middle and rear "silencers" (mufflers). I really enjoyed learning about that.
