Honestly, so far they said, regardless what it takes and knowing there will eventually be bumps/bruises under my watch, no one should take a new $82k car home with an ounce of damage.

I'd push for a whole new bumper and reimburse the cost of the Xpel. I can just see them trying to cut out a portion of the Xpel, cutting the paint and bumper in the process, not removing the Xpel correctly and ripping off clear coat, trying to patch up the Xpel and you'll see the lines, paint won't match the rest of the bumper. So many things can go wrong.
