Which Lip will not fall off going 160 mph?
I just went through a frp trophy s1 lip by hitting something. Then Poly status gruppe lip going 120mph. I'm tired of buying lips. Which lip can I go 160mph on and not be worried

Well if you are hitting stuff then you will probably continue to break them. However, I have the M Performance Lower lip and cruise around the Autobahn at speed all the time and have had no problems.

the self tapping screw on the SG lip feel off. Because the lip was folding down while driving over 130mph. Im gonna get light weight lip since they have air holes in the middle. But jesus. 3 lips in a month.

+1 on the M performance lip. Took it to 140 and maintained its integrity. Main reason I stuck to factory lip is to take the punishment and abuse it will see daily driving. In my experience, factory stuff is always more robust and durable than aftermarket (most of the time).

Dont use self-tapping screws into your OEM bumper, it's just not going to grab properly at those speeds. Force an OEM 8MM into the bumper and you'll be fine. Dont use the same holes you made with the self-tapping.

Some members have played with it, but it seems that most people don't take their cars much faster than 100, or else I'm sure we'd see more instances of damage/vibration/overall issues with the lips. Just my 2 cents... ![]()

I know that the center section of the mode carbon Trophy S1 lip won't be able to withstand 140+mph on the track because mine came unglued in the center and end up cracking on both sides and breaking off about 6 months ago.

Did 250 km/h (155 mph) on many occasions on German autobahn with mine lip! No issues whatsoever. I had a lightweight before but wasn't happy with it since it was bending at very high speeds.

I had the frp s1 actually for 1 week with speed over 160mph no problem. But I woke up from a night out to find out the middle part is completely missing. Polyurethane prob is the way to go. But with vendors making so much money from broken lips why would you make Poly ? I'm on my 3rd lip in a month. Will see how long the lightweight last

a few of the best setups I've run personally, and heavily tracked with are- - Oem splitters and undertray - PSM Front lip ( one of my favorites and took a beating like no other ) its strongly reinforced - Status Gruppe, I've seen mixed reviews of lips folding, not sure if it has to do with install, or maybe a bad batch but i didn't have that issue - the new Rkp Gts front lip looks extremely promising as its based on the OEM GTS lip, so if looking for functionality and looks, id look at that as well We also have clients who run the Vorsteiner Front lip with zero issues as well as 3D and the Rkp front lip plenty of options to go with, some better then others if anyone has any questions regarding lips and which ones we have seen hold up and fail, feel free to ask |
