Yes it would look better with the 2 tone wheels however, this is the first color on an F8x that makes the black wheels kinda look nice, especially with black grill.
I'm not saying I'd get this combo but it's not hurting my eyes to look at, like previous black wheel pics

It's ugly...don't any of you order this color!!!
JUST KIDDING! This is the color I ordered, however, it will have the orange interior as well. As a Texas Longhorn I felt the need to represent my school! |

upon further evaluation.. all day researching pics. i think I'm pulling the trigger. gotta be bold w/ these cars. I'm young i can get away w/ it. I feel like out of the three new colors for this M3/M4 generation (YMB, AY, SO), this one stands out the least, which isn't saying much but still. I would love to see more pics in the M4. As of now if I were getting an F80, this would be it.

I've never considered getting a red car or any similar color, but this color and wheel combo is the best I've seen for the m3. The contrast of the black wheels and roof just accentuate the color of the car.
Will the solid black wheels be available in the US, or just two-tone? |

For me it would be either SO or AW.
SO is my new favorite BMW color!

Wow, I'm loving the SO colour even more. As someone said earlier it really accentuates the rear flare.
If I could I would get Sakhir w/Blk leather and the polished/silver 19"s... better check those lottery numbers!

For those of you unsure of Sakhir Orange, here are some samples in sunlight that offer a pretty dynamic view of how the color actually looks. I have 18 inch black wheels on it which show some good contrast, and I just switched out to the black/chrome M performance grills (in the last 2 pics) instead of the chrome.
Sakhir Orange does NOT look burgundy, it really is a sharp color. I think its going to look amazeballs on the m3 cause it REALLY shows the lines of the color since the metallic paint has so much depth. It is a very difficult color to photograph when its not in great lighting, just look at how different the shade vs sunlight pictures are in the last 2 shots. . . If you're on the fence the color REALLY pops in real life, don't let the washed out burgundy look get atcha!

Its way more orange. The first 3 pics I posted above are a good representation. It doesn't really look "red" so much as "rust" in overcast/cloudy conditions, but it definitely looks a bit more reddish. . . I actually really like how different the color looks in alternate lighting, its not TOO in your face on a cloudy day, and when its sunny EVERYONE stops and stares at it.
Actually people stop and stare at it a lot when its snowing too, as I pass them comfortably in their rav 4s stuck in the right lane with their hazards on thanks to my xice 3s!

Oddly I thought the same thing. Out of the 7 M3/M4 'on order' at my dealer none of them are AW but 3 of them are MG and 2 of them are YMB. Has me thinking about swapping lol.

It's not as bad as I thought. Definitely a color if you want to get noticed, especially by the state troopers here in FL.
I'm leaning on the AY first choice, maybe SO second and YMB third choice. Not sure about the wheels or interior yet... |
