I doubt there's more thank a handful of E90 parts on the car from the video. Camo, sure, but all the "M" components are likely even tweaked from what's on the E90M right now. Including LSD, DCT, motor (obviously), etc.

Well lets see what we could determine from this vid.
1. it has a FMIC (or a radiator witch sits right at the bumper )2. sounds nothing like a v-8 witch leads me to believe its a TTV6 3. they would not make it a TTV8 not to mess with the new m5's sales/territory 4. they have to up the HP from yester-years model all this leads me to believe its going to be a 450hp TTV6 with roughly the same torque 1M =350hp M3/4 =450hp M5=550hp sounds about right to me. P.S look out for shiv and terry making these things 600+whp monsters

Shiv and Terry will be able to make a lot, but I'm going to say 600 will be pushing it on stock turbos. I'll bet the stock set up will max out around 520whp. The M5 on the other hand will have NO problem making any amount of power.

ya thats what we thought with the 335 and now look ,their are people making 500+whp on stock turbos. give or take a few, thats 600 bhp. Coming from a motor rated at 300 .

Aren't people only making over 500 with nitrous? I thought most are maxing out at 440whp with boltons and meth? I'm from the n55 world with meth and full boltons and would be lucky to hit 400whp but I have about 440-450wtq.

-def sounds like a v6, kinda raspy
-digging the wide track - hopefully it'll come with 275s+ in the rear -not understanding how it will weigh less than e90, considering the f30 platform is bigger 450 hp / 400 lb-ft sounds right

Sounds like a turbo. But it doesn't rev enough without trucks moving and honking in the background to really tell.
I'd be floored if BMW gave up on the inherent balance of an I6. I'm betting on a twin-turbo I6 or an innovative tri-turbo I6. Both of those can do 450hp. Or more. I'm stoked that the F80 is coming to the USA!

To the ones that are complaining:
Come on! BMW is "testing" the car! It is not a production car yet! The only thing I can say is that sounds not bad. We don't even know how the F30 looks and some of you are already saying that M3 sucks... |
