US Bound M3/M4 Production Delays?

My production build was slated for June 2nd week and tracking on BMW shows order still processing and not yet to production. I called the dealer who is digging into it but said he understood trim pieces were back ordered and effecting all production.

Anyone else heard of any production delays??

Sounds like the old carbon fiber shortage excuse. LOL

Cheers.

Anyone who have had a confirmed Euro delivery date pushed back yet? Fingers crossed it hasn't and will not happen.

My car was due for delivery mid July, but yesterday I got a call saying it would be the end of September at the earliest!!! They said the delay was because I've ordered the ceramic brakes. I really don't want to remove them, but I'm also not waiting an extra two months.

Anybody else had this delay?

My SA isn't saying much and I don't know the status codes, but it was supposed to go into production second week of May, and it's still not going through.

I think at least the group of 6/23 has not been pushed back (at least not in a way that it affects the pickup at BMW Welt)... that's at least 23 cars as reference, might look different for cars on other dates though.

Mine was slotted for the 23rd week (June 2nd week) production. I called BMW NA who said it is now slated for the 29th week which does not make me happy. They were not aware of any particular productions problems but then again, they did not seem to know anything about anything based on my questions. I'll now be following up with dealership to hopefully get better information.

They are having front strut issues in some cases. Hence, halted production.

I have heard this in several different threads but have seen no more information. Is this a rumor that just keeps going around or is there any actual documentation on this?

Ok I spoke too soon, just reached out to my SA and he confirmed it's in production and gave me the VIN number. Going to check the online status as soon as I get in front of my desk. So psyched!

Damn, really? Did the hotline give you an estimated completion date? They told me 6/18.

Are you sure your dealer allocated the order? They might have put your order in, but pushed you back to the next month,

A lot of dealers will take your order and put it in, but with some dealers getting 2 allocations a month right now, your order might not be put in motion.

I had a June, week 26, as confirmed prod date. 2 days ago, BMW Na says I don't have a confirmed production date. It's been consistent for 3 weeks until 2 days ago. WTF!?
