I actually have never thought of putting the seat down to create extra ride space, that's an awesome idea.....

Agreed - also protects leather on the seats.

It is, other than the fact my dog just had knee surgery (TPLO) to fix up his torn ACL and can't jump into the back of my F80 under his own power for another couple of months

Hate seeing him in pain, not to mention the pain of my track day budget for the year going up in smoke to pay for the ~$4k surgery + ~$1k in other accessories and special foods to make his recovery easier

But, we love our dog and there was no question I was going to pay for the surgery, and right now I am just looking ahead to the future when he is back to 100% and I can post up some pics of him in the car

Yeah that sucks. I had to pay $6500 for my dachshund's back surgery. It's still kind of hard for me to admit since I grew up in Kansas and most folks would probably just "put 'em out to pasture" for that kind of money. He's part of the family though.

While we wait for our new F80 (just departed on Saturday going on its way to Port Hueneme), here's an older pick in the E90

OK, wait a minute, isn't there something missing - what did you do with the dog?

I feel your pain. We spent about $9K on our previous dog in the last year of her life. $3500 for her knee but we had tight rope instead of TPLO. The thing that helped the most in her rehab was a rolling up a towel and making a saddle under her belly to support her weight when taking her out.

And then 8 months later another $5500 when we found out she had oral cancer. That money bought her another two weeks of being her old self. I wish I could say it was worth it but, that was immediately followed by a week and half of her feeling like shit and wanting to be alone to die before we could do what needed to be done. It was absolutely awful.

Is that Duchess' normal grey coat or something that comes with old age?
