Either way the zcp tires still have decent sidewall. The sidewalls are taller than 225-245/35/19 tires that are extremely common on other cars. |

The combined package (wheels and tires) for the 20's is heavier as well. The weights were posted several months ago. |

FWIW from tire rack: 19" tires: 265/40/19: 25 lb (star BMW) 285/35/19: 28 lb (26 lb if they are the 275 star BMWs) 20" (star BMW): 265/30/20: 24 lb 285/30/20: 26 lb So you save 1 lb F, and 0 or 2 lb rear on the tires depending on which tires come on the 19" ZCP pack. So it might narrow the gap a bit. |

But your comparision isn't including the correct 19" OEM tires, which are 255/35/19, 275/35/19. |

18" 513M 184.7lb 19" 437M 192.4lb 20" 666M 213.6lb (CP version) So the 437M add 7.7lb over the 513M and the 666M add 21.2lb over the 437M and 28.9lb over the 513M. As I have posted previously, the weights of the 666M are rather disappointing considering the were marketed as "weight optimized". On the other hand, the 513M and 437M are not that bad for OEM wheels in terms of weight. I am eager to read the specs of the new 19"-20" staggered M-Performance wheels, they are supposed to be the lightest design yet. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1293860 http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1077612

Weight is not the only factor. It is how the weight is distributed. "Weight Optimized" could mean that there is less weight at the edge of the wheel, more at the center.
I think we are splitting hairs here. |

For me, the greatest impact of wheel weight is unsprung mass. Rotating mass is less important. How the weight is distributed around the wheel does affect it's impact on unsprung weight.

The 18" and 19" could come with the Conti, but IIRC, not the 20".

No more luck of the draw now with the CP PS: Are you going to upgrade to the LCI 2018 like I did or you're sticking with your current M4? |

Yes, it has always been my plan to change my 2015 M4 this year for a 2018MY. I am anxiously waiting for the specs of the rumored M4CS, if the price and package is right, that's what I'll get. Otherwise I will settle for a CP LCI M4.

Just had a flat in Portland last week and no they do not stock that tire. Had to wait 5 days and rent a car while i waited for that damn tire to come in.

"- 9x19 (ET29) +10x19 (ET40), Style 437M" http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=945713 And from the first page of this thread "Forged, machine-polished, weight-and rigidity-optimized, multi-spoke 20-inch M alloy wheels (front 9J ×20; rear10 J ×20)" I believe they even have the same offsets. So the only difference is wider tires, and of course more weight on the 20s. |

Having said this, it still kind of sucks, and I'd take an MPE or a ZCP exhaust any day of the week!
