This is m5 pricing and the m5 has moved up in price as well. car pricing has gone bonkers in recent years. a loaded toyota camry is 42k now...
M3/4 is and never will be a competitor to the 911 so long as they continue to bring a knife into a gun fight.

The CS/GTS are produced in highly limited numbers to appeal to M fan boppers. The CS is an end of life special. No more, no less.

Wow $30,000 over my 2016 M3 build which had full leather and lots of options.

$90k I would consider, but this is nuts. No doubt they will sell out though. Enough people have the spare change.

So you think there is this large group of people waiting for CS pricing, before they purchase unsold and used GTS’s?

All this is...is more overpriced cars that will sit on dealer lots. These will drop in price just like the unsold GTS models. This isn’t some trigger to help move GTS inventory.

I think that's just a guess.

But if that is true then that makes the value equation of the M3 CS even more questionable than the ~$97.5K price tag already does.

Sigh. Okay man. I do not see how what you are saying is any different than what I am, namely, that for close to $97k I can possibly get an ED M5 (I did not say with options, and I tend to like my cars base) or a nicely optioned 911....

Are you just arguing with me now to argue? My OPINION is that for that amount of money, namely $98k including destination I could possibly get a base M5 for ED (which right now seems unlikely for the M3 CS) or a 911 with options without sweating the price difference too much.

I guess my point is that when we start getting closer to $100k, there are many more options for not that much money more. Relatively of course.

Basically, no M3, no matter how special, is worth $100k in my opinion. But again my opinion

This car makes sense if you want all that from he factory already, assuming you can get one for MSRP.

You can look at it the other way and do all of that yourself for considerably less money. I guess it just depends on your thought process, really.
You're right I speced my 18 M4 to be at around 113 after taxes and warranty
That is ridiculous lol
Lol I know I went with the fashion grey ext color and nutmeg interior with all those little option boxes ticked but I ended not buying due to being broke

You can make a good guess by using UK price. US M3 CS price is another 12.7%. Using same ratio US M4 CS should be a tick over $100k.

UK
M3 CS - 86,380
M4 CS - 89,130

US
M3 CS - 97,400
M4 CS - 100,500 (est)

Or for less, a car like the 981 or 718 Cayman GTS...which is a lot more "car" for the money in my opinion.

I was wrong and under estimated the price back then at $85-$90k. If I was in the market for a 4 door sedan, would be the new F90. Instead my 4 door sedan is the X5, soon a X5M. Need a larger car to offset the convertible when space is needed.

This.

Add CCB's and the dealer markup and you get a $115K glorified 3 series. All the best to those who gobble these up.

Confident pass for me.

That's troubling. When will BMW dealers move away from transactional to relationship selling? For example we need them to make transactions simple, be there when you need them most and recognize the relationship & reward loyalty.
