Stock turbo failure
Has anyone had stock turbos fail without having any of the symptoms of failure. Per my tuner we have ruled out all possible boost leaks and he believes the turbo might be bad. Only getting 16psi before wastgate completely maxout.
55k miles on the turbos.

If your turbos were "bad", you'd hear a loud whine and likely have oil consumption. I would look at the electronic wastegate actuators before deciding to replace turbos - your symptoms of low boost could be an indicator that one or both wastegates aren't closing completely.

Less then 1qt over 5k miles. Oddly enough the wastgate max out and all possible tests were done and show no boost leaks, my next step is to replace the wastgates, the current ones pass all ista tests but I figure it's worth a shot.

It could also be a sensor failure/inaccurate reading for intake air temp, oil temperature, coolant temp, exhaust gas temp, cylinder head temp, detonation, or any other reading that would cause the DME to pull back boost to prevent engine damage. I'd eliminate that as a factor before investing in replacing your turbos.

55k miles isn't low, but it's not super high either. Sometimes stock turbos just give out without much warning. If you need to replace it, there are plenty of options. A quick browse through https://goldfarbinc.com/ might give you some leads on quality replacement parts.
