I don't know if it's been said before as I didn't read every post but your garage is a DREAM. Man I would DIE for that. Nice guys and nice garage. I'm way jealous as I don't even have a garage. YET.

still a good read after all this time...I agree with you completely ...the M3 will never approach the 911...I loved my C4S and the only reason I don't have it now is the lack of rear seats.
I will be coming back to the M3 real soon(6th one) for no other reason than I cant find anything else to buy...crappy reason but true. |

Very nice write up. I to come from an "Honda" background, daily driven my s2000 for 6 years. Now own a similar M3 as yours (AW/SO/6MT/19) and truly love both cars for different reasons. As many has mentioned, I would love to own a porsche as my next car, but it was simply out of my budget. the s2000>m3>911 is the most righteous route

I have an F80 M3 and a 981 Cayman S (traded in my 997.2 911 C4S) and feel almost the same way as the OP. However each car does things that the other does not. My Cayman is my "driver's car" and it is just wonderful on the road. Cayman is 6sp manual and optioned the way I wanted it (built to order from the factory by me) and on the track or proper road its just great. My M3 is another car...my daily driver, DCT, enough room for family and able to haul stuff around (i.e. groceries, home depot, etc) it is super quick with more torque than my Cayman. I drive it in M1 (sport/sport) with regular suspension (swift springs go on next month) and it is very decent on any road. As precise as my Cayman...no but close enough for driving on public roads at legal speeds. However my M3 is now tuned w/ESS flash which puts it at about 510+ hp/560 torque and whoa when you get on it. Its now blazingly fast and it you go past just cracking the throttle you're quickly into almost triple digits before you even get into the merge on most on-ramps if you are not careful. My buddy in town for Veteran's day recently drove both cars back to back and called the M3 a beast! Like the OP...a different car for different days...but IMHO if you ask me to pick a set of keys...I'd chose BOTH of em!
