I will be arriving at the ring on Jun 29 and leaving for Frankfurt the next day.

yes, I will be making a short drive from Stuttgart to the ring on the 29th. So I will get there early afternoon to check in at the hotel.

For those of us driving around Europe after the BMW guided tour. What if we drive over the first break in service?

If you're going to be "substantially" over (eg. I did 2100 km's in 2010) you can schedule the service at any BMW dealership. You have to pay for it (my bill back then was around 500€ if I recall correctly. You just keep your receipt and submit it to BMW Canada when you get home. They'll reimburse you in short order. Trick is to be in a town/city long enough to accommodate the service, it was about 4 hrs between dropoff and pickup for me with a scheduled appointment.

I think I will be at 2500kms at drop off. I am thinking it might be fine to do it back here in Canada to save the trouble.

I would ask your dealer about that. Not something I'd shirk off as a "regular" PITA sevice requirement.

Hey guys...just realized 2 months from today we'll have said our goodbyes and will be on our way

But on a happy note, me and the Mrs. will be raising our glasses to those continuing the road trip. From our Mediterranean beachside cabana. With our feet up. Going no where....slowly for a change lol.

Just a heads up for those that wants a prepaid data during the whole trip. I went on ebay and purchased a Ortel prepaid sim card that will work in all the countries we will be visiting.

I am leaving Vancouver on the 17th. So I got 36 more days to go!

If you really want to know the status of your car, just ask your sales advisor for the production or vin number. he should also be able to tell you the production week by now.
