I think I'm caught up again. Let me know if I missed your times.
I've been preoccupied with a recent move and also jumped into race group with the E36 for the first time last weekend. What a thrill! New home with enormous garage thread: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1262890 OT: videos of my first W2W race weekend, my lord those rolling starts are such an adrenal rush. Whole other level beyond DE or TT. Saturday's photo finish loss to my rival: Sunday's Feature Race win!:

I got a clean lap (no one to pass) last time out so I was able to beat my previous recorded best by 0.5 seconds . I did not forget to turn on the mic this time, so my vid has sound .

Second outing to Laguna Seca
Since my last post here I have added Ground Control suspension and 315/30X18 Hoosier tires to the rear.
Fastest Lap; 1:45.26 GC camber plates and suspension RS29 pads 285/30X18 Front and 315/30X18 rear (no rubbing even in the cork screw) Car is feeling much better coming out of turns and going over the rise at turn one (up to 127mph there but more available as I feel more comfortable there). No dive under braking. I think GT3 pulled over due to sound regs between 5 and 6. Had been keeping up with the GT4 but that driver was relatively new to the car but very familiar with the track.

If you are talking about 5a 5b 6, I love them too! But I am no where near fast, I enter 5a turn-in at about 75mph, then passing 6 apex at about 65mph. I feel I can carry more momentum there and maybe do 5b slightly different so that I can have greater exit speed coming out of 6.
But I am not concerned about being slow at all. I need to get my vision correct and consistent through those turns at first. If I get to the point that I am watching myself driving imagination lines through those turns, and in slow motion, then I think I can safely(not much room for mistake at those turns) and quickly improve there. |
