This 2k saving has just about pushed me toward Nardo.

Interior colors? Black? Black with grey/red stitch? Sakhir? Silverstone?
Nardo is so Audi and Skoda, personally, having seen Grigio I would order that anyway.

I can't justify it, especially when I think Nardo looks better and suits the blue M3 calipers better than Telesto does.

In an ideal world i'd build a CCB / Telesto car, but that's just getting silly. Still leaning toward Nardo as I woke up this morning.

I am however still very much undecided on the interior color. If I was doing Tanzanite it would be Silverstone, or Alpine, it would be Sakhir.

Nardo is harder to pair one of those interiors with IMO, but black is so boring. I've got the black/black on the GLC and it works there.

How much should an Individual (level 2 as I call it) paint cost? Grigio, Nardo, etc. I always thought it was 8k inc GST and LCT, however when my dealer quoted me it made a 10k difference to the price using Grigio as an example he'd quoted someone else a week earlier. I know that an Individual level 1 (Tanzanite, Azurite) cost $3600 inc GST and LCT. Frozen is about $6000 inc GST and LCT.

I'm ultimately tossing up between;

Alpine White / Sakhir Orange
Mineral White / Sakhir Orange +2k
Tanzanite Blue / Silverstone +4k
Nardo Grey / Black or Silverstone +10k
(all with black wheels and blue calipers)

The extra cash goes a long way, or even covers in the case of Nardo, an Akra/MPE exhaust.
Have you explored Nardo / Cohiba Brown combo ?

Emailed my dealer today asking for Cohiba/Grolden/Amaro pricing.

Found a great thread showing Nardo/Sakhir and it looks insane!

Can't find any good examples of Nardo/Silverstone together.

Loved nardo on my rs3 - classic Audi rs color

But it's a bit disappointing that you can buy it in a skoda, mini, Ford Fiesta, even a Hyundai now as a regular brochure color

SMB is one bright mofo imo, I like it.

Here are a couple pics I took at BMW Southbank a while back.

It also had contrasting blue stitching.

Is that Grey Black (Porsche) or Grigio Telesto (Lambo)?

Looks too dark to be Telesto.

Grigio Telesto - nice colour, but unfortunately $10k with GST and LCT.

So...... I found out today that Grigio Medio costs the same as Nardo, not the same as Telesto as I initially thought. That changes things a little and gives me another option. Add to that the fact that I also realized that Amaro Brown and Golden Brown are NCO, I'm now narrowing down my choices.

I spent quite a bit of time today hunting down Individual colors in Sydney and there were few. I was however able to see Tanzanite Blue on a 6 series GC. Disappointed is the word. While I'm sure it pops in direct sunlight, it's very 'blue', and quite flat/boring without the sparkle. Overcast day didn't help but I know now that it's not for me. Especially coming from an X5M in Carbon Black.

So with Tanzanite off the table, I'm left with 3 options.

Alpine White / Sakhir Orange - This is the cheapest option with zero cost for paint or interior.

Nardo Grey / Sakhir Orange - I do think Golden Brown is an option here, however Sakhir works better.

Considering I've had an Audi SQ5 White/Red and X5M Carbon/Mugello Red in the past few years, there's another option on the table.

Grigio Medio / Golden Brown - New idea today and one I am considering very highly.

So why Grigio Medio? It's unique. Hell, even for Ferrari it's a unique color. It's certainly a Grey color, however it exhibits some blue and green and gives off a very premium look. Paired with Golden Brown (Amaro is too plain), I think this could be an incredible special build.

Can I live with it for 4/5 years though. That's something I've been debating the entire time while considering Fire Oranges and Signal Greens. I typically change cars every 2-4 years, but I am anticipating a longer period with the M3. This consideration makes Alpine/Sakhir the front runner - it's also significantly cheaper.

How much cheaper? Well consider my plans. I want every M Performance piece there is to be fitted on this car. Going with an Alpine White car means splitters, lower spoiler, rear diffuser, rear trunk, mirror caps, Steering wheel II and MPE or Akra can be fitted day one. Spending 8k-10k on paint means exhaust or carbon goodies miss out for a while.

First world problems huh...

Oh and I saw a demo BSM/Silverstone M3 today with 4000km. The SS interior was trashed! It's easily my favorite interior color but holy hell, it scared me off today for sure. I imagine id maintain it better than they had, but still.

lol, I hadn't seen it in person!

It looked like this:

I was expecting this:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...1&d=1430607655

I think I'd rather Azurite, knowing that it's dark and that the sparkle is a little less bright than Tanzanite. Carbon is still my all time favorite, but I'm not paying individual prices for Carbon.

How did you find the paint fared over time?

My mate who is a detailed is advising me to go with a metallic as it hides swirls better, and that on a flat color they show up very easily.

I only owned it around 10 months - I swap out my dailys every 12ish months

No issues with paint care as I'm a hobbiest Detailer, corrected and coated the paint one weekend and was all good from there

I wouldn't choose a paint colour based on how it hides swirls, I'd just learn how to wash it properly to minimize them

Re trashed SS, yeh that's demo life, I always order white/light interiors where possible and have no issues maintaining them with the right products/regime

Just get something already! I anguished the CBM wouldn't show off the bulges enough, but I have SO inside so I'm happy with my choice. You are missing out on driving if you are going to wait for a build - unless you are waiting on a lease to clock out? 1 week in and I'm booking in the run-in service

I have a build slot already for April. I have until tomorrow to lock in the color choice.

Thanks for the feedback Domino. I've been using Gyeon on my last 3 cars without issue and have been impressed with the results and longevity. That said, wash your cash in an unrecommended way and it's going to swirl up regardless. Definitely won't be choosing based on swirls, just something my mate said which I found interesting.

With Grigio Medio, or Nardo? I think GB works with either.

I've had red interior in my SQ5 and X5M so I am keen for a change.

Silverstone was the top of my list but I wear denim far too often.
