I bought this car because of the information fed to me by the salesman and his sales manager. They told me the car i bought was only just released so that new shape wont be out for a long time maybe 2009 but they werent sure.

I feel like i have been duped.
I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the photo.

Don't feel duped about the '05 M3, its an awesome car!

Besides, the 2007 (or more likely 2008 by the time it gets to Australia) model will most likely set you back at least another 20 or 30 grand compared to the current M3, if the new M5 is anything to go by, as BMW are moving it up a notch and filling the gap with the 335i.

The dealer is obviously a liar or an idiot, but you've still got an awesome car.

yeah thanks for the kind words

M Cabrio -> Sedan launch + 2.5 year

So the M coupe should be here in 2007. In any case, the E46 is a great car already, and I wouldn't regret getting it. Especially I couldn't wait 2 years to get a new car. How long were you planing to keep the M3 ?

wow now i know when i should get the new shape i really only like the new shape m3 when spruced up.

However Angela I have to apologize on the behalf on my gender (lol), those guys are liars like other members have mentioned but damn gurl u have a M3, one of the most celebrated coupes with over 60 automotive awards coming with it! This is car no joke and trust me by 2007 if you treat her well, the residual value for her will still be up there. U have a great car, but unfortunately as with all things in life, the E90 M3 is going to be even better!

What tire/wheel combination does the new M3 on the photo presented here has? That looks ~20 inches. Do they fit in the 330?

What's the factory offset?
Thanks!

the car is not out yet, so noone knows, thats just a photoshoped concept you are looking at. No use guessing at what the wheel is and if it will fit your car until the real car comes out

Umm, considering the recently published (and ugly) M-sport packages - what makes you think the M3 is gonna look like this? We could of course hope though.

PS: Amazing Photoshopping on the colors above here. :rocks: How do you do that Phoenix?

very nice you are so clever ;-) Do you know how to add pixels to my sig to make it appear like a very deep high quality photo? i saved the photo as jpg - this however made me lose pixels and therefore quality.

I would like to restore it and make it deep and more pixels but make the photo remain same size

Sorry, can't add pixels to make the image crisper. Once it's compressed, it's done for and you've already lost a certain amount of detail. Only thing you can do is smooth-out the graininess (using Smart Blur in Photoshop, for example) but that's losing some detail, too.

As much as I'm sure the m3 is going to be a huge performance improvement over the e46 I can't help but say that the e46 m3 is my all time favorite car.

Its lines are perfect. It is the finest coupe design ever to be made in my not so humble opinion.

The new e90 3 series looks great so don't get me wrong but, when you look at the a pillars of the e46 m3 and compare them to the e90 a pillars you must admit the e46 looks more youthful and agressive. e90 looks more refined.

I am afraid I wont be able to get an e46 m3 before the model stops selling.

I'm trying to buy a house this year so its probably not in my cards. You folks who have them are so fortunate. Well, my supercharged z3 keeps me happy for now.

BTW the concept pic is an m6 with a modded grill and headlights. The real e90 m3 car will look closer to the sport package car then the magazine concept. Don't mean to be a poor sport. :-/

I just read that the new bmw m3 e90 will be shown as a concept at the Frankfurt motor show in september
It will be released in spring of 2006 as a production model. And i think that this information is for four door sedan M3 version, which everyone is expecting. Coupe will follow in the spring of 2007.
This info seems very logical because of the m3 coupe and coupe timelines:
Spring 2006: BMW E92 coupe
Spring 2007: BMW E93 M3 coupe
and
Spring 2005: BMW E90 Sedan (already happened)
Spring 2006: BMW E90 M3 Sedan
I'm looking forward to see the new m3 sedan concept on the Frankfurt motor show in september of 2005.

Do you guys remember this picture?

This car looks surprisingly alot like the sport package and I think I saw this pic a year ago.

Maybe its really close to what the real m3 will look like.

If BMW follows form, I think we will see a lot of similarities to the Sport package, but the M3 will have beefier fenders, hood, etc that will set it apart from the others.

I wouldn't sweat it at all. There's no telling what e90M3 is going to look like. If it's uninspired, then I will stay with my M3 and consider forced induction. Realistically, the car will not show up in OZ until at least 2008. In the meantime you can enjoy one of the most practicable sports cars on the planet. The only other car that I would rather own right now a e46 M3 CSL and that will never happen since they never made it to the states!!

Cheers!
