Says the E92 owner about an unsubstantiated internet rumor about the F8x. No surprise there, E92 owner.

It was posted on here yesterday...
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1068416 I wouldn't worry, if it is true it was only set for a certain amount of cars and would likely be resolved before your car is produced.

I'm gonna guess that they're just placating a concerned customer. Still, I hope this is false or very limited.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream. - Jeremy Clarkson, discussing the S65 and then S55 M3 engines. |

This doesn't sound right. What auto company in their right mind these days would not issue a bulletin when a rumor is out there involving a large number of engines. Would make much more sense to disclose ASAP than to issue a recall at a later date. If don't hear anything soon, probably a garbage rumor.

The problems not so much the conrod, but the shaft itself. Seems it lacks the proper lubricant to function properly these days. Workin on a mod. But thanks for the help anyway.
