Your conrod is weak and could completely detonate at high rpm. You really should get this fixed instead of limping around afraid to use it the way it was intended.

I expected some issues from gen 1 (hence why many wait and see before buying...), but not a whole new engine recall. Ridiculous.

Says the E92 owner about an unsubstantiated internet rumor about the F8x. No surprise there, E92 owner.

I wouldn't worry, if it is true it was only set for a certain amount of cars and would likely be resolved before your car is produced.

Interesting that they claim no bulletin received, but simultaneously claim to know the exact extent of VINs to which such a bulletin would apply IF they had it.

I'm gonna guess that they're just placating a concerned customer.

Still, I hope this is false or very limited.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.

This doesn't sound right. What auto company in their right mind these days would not issue a bulletin when a rumor is out there involving a large number of engines. Would make much more sense to disclose ASAP than to issue a recall at a later date. If don't hear anything soon, probably a garbage rumor.

The problems not so much the conrod, but the shaft itself. Seems it lacks the proper lubricant to function properly these days. Workin on a mod. But thanks for the help anyway.
