Have booked a time with Stuart to do the gts coding

Did you guys do the US suspension coding or the actual CS suspension - from watching reviews, the m4 cs looks like it's been programmed even firmer than the zcp (on same exact hardware)

US comfort suspension coding

CS suspension would be just to much for my back on the daily drive

Suspension is so subjective to the individual. For me the CS settings on a non comp pack with KW HAS is so much better and smoother than stock. In saying that I do not find the comp pack cars harsh at all for context. The CS seems to have better rebound control which helps settle the car better.

the zcp stock suspension is ok at speed, but low speed initial travel is pretty poor when running over expansion joints, road reflectors, broken tarmac etc - some of this has to do with the 30 series tyres though

i'm eagerly waiting for bilstein to release their b16 oe shocks - pushed back to march now

Hey guys, apologies for bringing up an old thread but I'm really interested in the concept of tuning the car via the obdii port (instead of taking the whole ecu) out.

Has anyone here actually bought one of those obd port tuning kits and used it here in Aus? Do they allow for custom tunes?

Yes have Alex's tunes, no it's not a custom tuning platform however there is customisation with features, levels etc.

The OBD connector no, it's locked to your VIN. I asked that question myself. In saying that the shipping was inside two weeks (most of that was in OZ!) for the cables and connector.

Freight from Us has always been impressive from my experience. I use to purchase tyres from tire rack all the time when the dollar was good and it took 3 days door to door!

I go between his stage 2(GTS) and 2+ for stock car. They're not the most powerful out there but the driveability is excellent. Progressive power, smooth. Awesome daily driver.

Yeah it can go both ways depending on carrier, i have got dirt bike tyres delivered in 5 day but then had other stuff take a month. Generally 2-3 weeks seems the norm.

you can do this all with the thor app

that's how i did mine

i went with cs across the board - mdm is biggest gain imo, having the car actually step out under power has made it alot more fun to drive

Hey Dom, i'd be curious on your thoughts regards CS vs GTS MDM if you care to experiment one day?

I coded cs and left it at that

haha... the question is why not try other coding. Really all four models have hardware differences of some sort between them...

The two standout improvements for me were the GTS steering and CS EDC... most others I wouldn't waste my time again, that includes the DCT.

The GTS steering coding removed that of centre dead zone. Where you turn off the wheel slightly off centre and the car doesn't turn.

Can't say I've ever noticed this off centre thing mentioned on forums

Then again I've driven a trackhawk hard over a bumpy B road so maybe my reference point is skewed

Thor - you can diy and go back n forth without having to pay/organize repeated remote sessions with someone in another time zone

It's no different to using BimmerCode or Carly to code your car yourself
