I've got a few year old one that I really like. I can't remember what kind it is (Hero 5 I think?), but takes great stable video. I've done a lot of track videos and uses the shoulder/chest strap on my kid for videos when she runs around. It's a pretty neat perspective. My friends took it with them to Costa Rica and were very impressed the video/audio quality.

Looking at the Mobius Pro Package for $120.00 is a very attractive deal as well. Much cheaper than GoPro. Thanks GrussGott, I might pick one up to try side by side with my GoPro to compare and try other angles while tracking.

Yeah, the mobius is basic - you can use software for image stabilization, etc, which is sometimes needed for driving depending on where you mount it. I usually do top center of the windshield and it's usually pretty good. I think the image quality is great, but I'm not trying to make pro videos, just review runs, etc you can easily mount them on the side windows to monitor driving lines, etc

I also like the sony and garmin as they've got all the GPS / night adaptation / image stab as with go pro - I dunno, go pro form factors never worked for me, but i've not tried their new little box thing which seems MUCH better.

So I got myself an M240. Ah, the mechanical feel, the build quality and sharpness in corners. Love it.

On another topic, dang if this 2020 Vette is for real with mid-engine, NA flat plane crank to near 9k rpm readline etc. I’m in even if the interior continue to look and feel like the plastic kids toys come package in...

Pretty awesome! I was able to easily get it above the ceiling to see the wiring so I could get those new lights put up.

If I'd have put that project off 1 more week I'd have been cut off*

* no more sport driving on Fridays

So long as the camera can handle certain movements without blurring it should be okay...

Is it water proof? And does it have "steady hand" motion dampening??

Will be interesting to see where this goes. Could make things better, could make things worse. I suspect if the stupid Iranians had stayed out ofSyria this wouldn't be an issue

Yeah it does, and I know why you're asking: it sure can be used to trace your water pipes, and stays steady even if you're twisting the snake.

Democrat polling advantage nearly gone as the mid-term elections grow nearer;

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/09/polit...ows/index.html

Can't say I'm particularly surprised. It's been 1.5 years since the election. What do the democrats stand for? Who is their leader that the country is supposed to rally behind? What alternative vision to they have?

They are making the same mistake they made during the election. "We're not the other guy".

It's honestly shocking to me that they are still working that tired strategy. They need a leader and a message asap or nothing changes after the midterms.

The first human rated rocket from a non-govt. company. Very exciting. The design has to fly 7 times before they can launch humans to the ISS on it.

I assume 7 times in a row without blowing up.

Some of the articles I read about it seem to think that the process of fueling it is more dangerous than the actual launching. But it's designed to fly multiple times with little need for refurbishment. Though it's exciting to see this rocket go, I still want to know how far along SpaceX is in making the Falcon Heavy or BFR human rated.
